Neurology & Sleep Medicine is more than a sleep lab. We aspire to strengthen the foundations of your health by helping you develop:
Our practice is unique because we pay attention not only to the nuances of sleep disorder treatment, but how it would interplay with your holistic mind body connection and other diseases you may have.
Our quality of care has been accredited by The Joint Commission, the same commission that accredits all the hospitals in the country, with their Gold Seal of Approval® seal since 2009.
Dr. Senthil Ramasamy is certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties in both neurology and sleep medicine. Since sleep is a function of the brain, his in-depth understanding of brain functions in addition to his specialization in sleep medicine is a benefit to his patients.
Dr. Ramasamy is the founder of Neurology & Sleep Medicine, which serves the greater Albuquerque area. In the past, he has worked in various positions, as private clinical practitioner in medically underserved Carlsbad, NM and India, and as teaching faculty in New York Medical College-affiliated hospital in New York, NY. This wide range of practice and teaching environments along with the demanding practice of recertification in the most current discoveries in Sleep Medicine, have prepared Dr. Ramasamy to bring cutting edge developments into his practice.
Many sleep medicine clinics offer little more than a place to conduct a sleep study. You may never meet a board certified sleep expert there. You may meet mid-level practitioners if you are lucky (i.e. nurse practitioners or physician’s assistants), but more likely a sleep technician is the only clinical provider you may ever meet.
At Neurology & Sleep Medicine, we have been providing personalized medical care, which is a budding future vision for many medical communities. You meet with our board certified sleep specialist in a clinical appointment before and after diagnostic and treatment sleep studies. The studies are conducted by kind, well trained and certified technicians in our lab. Dr. Ramasamy personally reviews the results and consults with you to understand the sleep problems in the context of your other medical conditions and formulates treatment plans and coordinates with your other medical care providers or arranges consultations with them as needed.
Our practice works with nearly every insurance provider to cover the expense of the sleep study and any recommended treatments.
If your sleep—and your health—are suffering, contact us to schedule an initial consultation with Dr. Ramasamy. We can get you on the path to better nights’ rest and increased vitality.
